Welcome to Overhailes Farm in East Lothian.

2009 has brought a number of developments to both the website and our lovely cottages.  We've refurbished a third cottage on the farm so we can accommodate up to 16  people across our 3 cottages (including campbeds)!  We've also developed a games room on the farm, complete with table tennis table and (small) snooker table and we've installed an interconnecting door between Cottages 2 and 3, giving you a greater range of options for booking accomodation to suit your needs.

You'll find a few more photos of our self-catering (and B&B) holiday cottages here and a new 'Gallery' page with some photos of the views around Overhailes, East Lothian and some more of Hailes Castle.

Overhailes Farm is situated in the heart of East Lothian between the quiet village of East Linton and the historic town of Haddington.  The farm is now mainly arable, though we have some cattle during the Winter months.  The Wright family have farmed at Overhailes since the 1950's.

The farm overlooks the River Tyne and Hailes Castle, originally built in the late 1200's but later expanded during the 1300's and 1400's.  East Lothian is home to a number of other castles (Dirleton, Tantallon and the remains of Dunbar Castle) and numerous other attractions such as the Scottish Seabird Centre, the Museum of Flight (where you can explore Concorde) and the Myreton Motor Museum.

The Wright family welcome guests to their farm.  It is a beautiful area where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of a rural retreat and re-charge from the hectic pace we all seem to live these days.
