Located between the quiet village of East Linton and the market town of Haddington, Over Hailes is the perfect base from which to explore all that East Lothian has to offer. The cottages are only a 15-20 minute drive from world-class golf courses in North Berwick, Gullane and Dunbar; not to mention the stunning beaches and coastline of East Lothian. There is easy access to Edinburgh City Centre from our local train station in East Linton. Door to door it is a 5 minute drive to the station, with trains to Edinburgh Waverley taking between 18-24 minutes.
We provide a high standard of self-catered accommodation across a variety of five cottages at affordable prices. Catering for large and small groups alike, we aim to meet your accommodation needs and introduce you to a beautiful part of East Lothian.

Over Hailes is ideally situated for getting out and about in East Lothian. On the A199 between East Linton and Haddington we are less than 15 minutes from the seaside towns of North Berwick, Gullane, Aberlady, and Dunbar. If golf is your game, we have an abundance of courses set out on the “Golf Coast” from picturesque Craigelaw Golf Club to coveted Muirfield Golf Course. There are also plenty of options for keeping the kids entertained here from wakeboarding and a ropes course at Foxlake Adventures to beachcombing and rockpooling at Ravensheugh Beach, there is something for everyone.
